Live in a College Town
Sioux Falls is a college town. USF, Augie, etc. We hope to buy a small older home near USF where our son will be attending college, so he can walk to school. Something off 26th or 22nd Streets, maybe. Walk to Panther basketball games. Walk to the Pickle Barrel for a great sandwich. Maybe get a job at the VA hospital. Lots of maybes coming up.

There are some cute houses on Norton between 26th and 33rd; college area. Check Craig's list under real estate; I saw a few there. One in particular that has an awesome back yard. We live in McKennan Park neighborhood, just a few blocks east of Minnesota Ave; also a nice neighborhood and a couple of homes on 26th street between Minnesota Ave and Phillips have been on marked a loooooong time (overpriced for mkt). Great location.
ReplyDeleteBTW. Sioux Falls is not a "college town." We are actually a "hospital town" and there are a lot of jobs related to Sanford Health Systems and Avera Health Systems that you might be interested in/qualified for.
Best restaurant hands-down in Sioux Falls is Minervas.
Also, for $154k you could probably have my house!
